Kargil War Memorial-Drass

India is well known for its diversities but do we know what are the other things we are famous for?
And how beautiful is that?

So let's go  to Drass today

Drass or Dras is a hill station in Kargil district, Ladakh in India. It is at a height of 10800ft. This high altitude place is one of the greatest tourist spot especially for trekkers or adventurers.

I guess "attraction" will be a perfect word rather the word spot because the place attracts you with it's immense beauty. Snow white mountains all around takes you to another level.

We all might have known that Leh Ladakh is the coldest in India, but.......

I was so excited when I learnt that "Drass is second coldest inhabited place in the world," isn't that really cool.

Leaving Leh Ladakh, when rest of India experiences summer, Ladakh  experiences summer from June to mid of September and then starts winters till May.

Now Imagine our Army there, in that much cold weather fighting for us and providing us security.

When I have been to Kargil War Memorial, I had this adrenaline rush in me, got the goosebumps looking at the cenotaph.
I was so driven by the wind there.
The Martyrs (The Brave Hearts) - Who touched the sky and stayed on earth, encouraging us each day to let us know the meaning of life.

The war memorial was built by Indian Army, commemorating Kargil war between India and Pakistan in 1999. The memorial is located across the tiger hill on Srinagar- Leh National Highway.

I found Leh Ladakh as that woman who has beauty with brains and certainly this place has something which will drive you crazy with a combination of beauty, adventure and motivation.

Drass was a trailer of Leh Ladakh, picture is yet to come...... so stay tuned
